My experience at Samati Xobo was nothing short of amazing. From the very first moment we arrived at this beautiful land and were met by Maestro Damian and Maestra Lila, I felt so much love, care, and support. The property itself is beautiful, and the accommodations, although humble, were more than comfortable, and I found myself really missing my Tambo after I left! I really appreciated the simplicity of the food that was served and the love that was put into it by all of the support staff that made our stay feel so special.
Dylan and Mariana were also so lovely in facilitating this experience with so much patience and tenderness. They were always available for questions or concerns. I felt so supported and empowered by them the entire time to open more deeply to the plants and their wisdom.
The Maestros are such masters, and it was such a privilege to receive their blessings. They both masterfully held the space, weaving together their beautiful Icaros. They are so generous with their time and energy and have such dedication and reverence for the plants. It was such an overwhelming gift to receive so much love, wisdom, and healing at Samati Xobo. My experience dieting with Maestra Lila & Maestro Damian at Samati Xobo was truly a beautiful gift, one that has allowed me to discover myself anew.
The rich tapestry of Shipibo tradition is woven lovingly by the Maestros in every aspect of the dieta, providing the rare opportunity to learn from an ancient lineage how to be with the subtleties of our plant teachers and live in harmony with the natural world. The love, laughter, and compassion I felt from the Maestro's while working with them allowed me to feel held, seen, and cared for throughout the dieta. I left feeling deeply nourished spiritually and with a softer heart.
Samati Xobo is truly a special centre that has been built with so much love and intention, a container for deep healing and learning, set against the peaceful backdrop of the lush Peruvian Amazon jungle. I sincerely look forward to returning.
